Blind Test: 90s Dub Techno – Episode 31 (Electronic Beats TV)

Following many requests from our loyal fans our Electronic Beats Blind Test series finally takes a deep dive into the world of 90s Dub Techno for episode thirty one. The sound of the genre has a foundation in the production style of Roots Reggae and the utilization of the Roland Space Echo but has since over the years evolved into a unique electronic genre all its own. Joining us are some figures who have been lovers of the Dub Techno sound and have weaved it into their productions and DJ sets throughout their careers. For example the likes of Canada’s Deadbeat who released numerous dub techno LP’s on the pioneering ~scape imprint, the much loved Swiss DJ, Eli Verveine, Tresor’s Mareena, composer and engineer Andrea Cichecki, Lisbon’s DJ, producer and Labelboss of Paraíso Shcuro and lastly, co-founder of the Refuge Worldwide radio station and Kynant Records, Richard Akingbehin.
